I have cultivated painting as my prime interest, once my hobby is now my profession. I am well versed in traditional
Indian painting styles like Tanjore and miniature painting. I have formally acquired education from renowned artists in
Pune. Acrylic paints are used more prominently for the paintings displayed in this exhibition and oil colors are used as
mixed medium. Influence of contemporary can be seen in my paintings beyond colours and effects. The fineness in my
paintings is result of depth understating of miniature and Tanjore paintings, and also admiration of Indian culture. I
have developed a style of my own of using dots for finer colour shades.
For last few years I am working on subject flute player and you can find a new dimension in each painting of the theme.
I am engineer by education, completed B.E (electronics) with first class. I then pursued graduation in Interior designing
from Sheffield School of Interior Designing, Australia. I worked as full time interior designer for few of years before
deciding to be a full time artist.
