Gond painting is tribal painting with a set style of symbols & designs. This painting shows the daily life of farmers in small villages where the farmer’s wives bring food for them at mid-day and share lunch under the shade of a big tree. The Gonds, are the largest Adivasi Community in India and are Dravidian’s whose origin can be traced to the pre-Aryan era. They are mainly found in Madhya Pradesh and its surrounding States.
